IIHS Upgrades 2016 Nissan Sentra Safety Rating

How safe is the 2016 Nissan Sentra? When we took our first look at this question back in January, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety had already named the new Sentra as a Top Safety Pick, the second-highest possible rating. However, the IIHS hadn’t tested every advanced safety feature on the 2016 Sentra yet. Those tests were recently finished, with very good results. Therefore, the IIHS has upgraded the 2016 Nissan Sentra safety rating to Top Safety Pick Plus.
